More than 150 local sports authorities attended in person, while more than 300 nationwide sport authorities joined the webinar online.

The Hangzhou Asia Game Organizing Committee (HAGOC) recently held an official webinar to introduce the baseball and softball events to the regional organizing committee, where the both events will be hosted.

The two-hour webinar was conducted by HAGOC official Ms. Huang Qian who was the 2017 Chinese National Softball Team team leader.

The new Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Centre in Shaoxing city, which was approved earlier this year, will host the baseball and softball events.

A record-setting nine teams are confirmed for the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 softball competition, including world No. 2 Japan, No. 6 Chinese Taipei, No. 9 China, No. 13 Philippines, No. 23 Korea, No. 38 Hong Kong China, No. 41 Thailand, No. 47 Singapore and No. 49 India.

This event will mark the debuts in the Asian Games women’s softball competition for both India and Singapore.
