Asian Games: WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari meets with Chinese Olympic Committee Vice President Li Yingchuan

Mr Yingchuan is also the Vice Director of the General Administration of Sport of China. President Fraccari also visited the Zhejiang Xiaoshan Guali Town baseball field, which is the national women's baseball training base of China.

World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC) President Riccardo Fraccari met with Chinese Olympic Committee Vice President and Vice Director of the General Administration of Sport of China Li Yingchuan at China House whilst attending the Asian Games, in Hangzhou, China on Sunday. WBSC Secretary General Beng Choo Low, Chief Operating Officer Marco Ienna also attended the meeting along with Chinese Baseball Association President Chen Xu and Deputy Secretary-General Ding Feng.

During the meeting, Li Yingchuan confirmed that China has been committed to promoting the development of sport, including baseball and softball. He extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the WBSC and expressed the desire of the Chinese sports community to cooperate with the WBSC. He pointed out that through international cooperation and exchanges, the popularity and development of the two sports can be promoted on a global scale.

President Riccardo Fraccari thanked the Chinese sports community for their warm welcome and shared the development plan of the WBSC. He said cooperation with China is very important for the future of baseball and softball, which will help increase the popularity of the two sports in China as well as other countries and regions.

On Thursday, President Fraccari also visited the Zhejiang Xiaoshan Guali Town baseball field, which is the national women's baseball training base of China.
