Four Australian pitchers combined to pitch a one-hitter for the Aussies in their last game at the XXX WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.

World No. 10 Australia closed their participation at the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup with a 7-2 victory over South Africa, ranked 26th in the world, on Saturday, in the last game played at LECOM Park. 

The result saw Australia finish ninth for the first time since 2012 matching their worst finish at the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup which they've recorded three times (2021, 2012 and 2006).

Four Australian pitchers combined to pitch a one-hitter for the Aussies in their last game at the XXX WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.

Australia’s cleanup hitter Nick Bertucci went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI and three runs scored to lead a 12-hit offensive afternoon. 

South Africa closed the tournament in 12th place with no wins matching their performance at the two past editions of the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in 2019 and 2017.
