Baseball Champions League: WBSC, LMB to announce Americas tournament schedule in press conference on Wednesday 23 August

The WBSC, the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), the host club Leones de Yucatan, and the Yucatan State government will reveal the Baseball Champions League Americas invitational tournament schedule during a press conference on Wednesday, 23 August.

The press conference is scheduled at the Russell Gutièrrez press room in the Parque Kukulcan Alamo in Merida, Mexico, at 5 pm local time.

The event will be streamed live by the LMB's Facebook, Twitch and YouTube channels.

The Baseball Champions League is an "international tournament of champions" organised amongst Baseball Leagues of different nations for the first time in baseball history.

The Americas invitational, scheduled from 28 September to 1 October, includes four teams, the LMB's 2022 champions, Leones de Yucatan, Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (American Association's 2022 winners), Alazanes of Granma (Cuban National League 2022 champions) and Caimanes of Barranquilla (the Colombian Professional League, 2022 winners).

Starting the 2024 season, the plan is to add regional events in the other continents, with the winners advancing to a Final Four.
