"Baseball is coming back stronger than ever," commented head coach Roke Alcantare Jr, who is pictured above during tryouts held in December 2021.

The University of Guam (UOG) will celebrate its 70th anniversary through a four-team baseball invitational, thus re-launching the baseball programme.

The UOG Tritons will play the Dodgers, the Amigos and the Guam Junior National Team.

"Baseball is coming back stronger than ever, despite the pandemic challenges," said the Tritons coach Roke Alcantara Junior.

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero, former UOG President Robert Underwood and former UOG slugger Richard Martinez will throw ceremonial pitches.

"We're excited to show the community that baseball is back at UOG," said the University Athletic Director Doug Palmer. "This is a significant moment for us. We're looking forward to honouring the Tritons of the past and welcoming the next generation of players."

The Guam Baseball Federation is the national governing body. Guam is currently No. 38 in WBSC Baseball World Rankings.
