The French Baseball and Softball Federation (FFBS) will stage the II Baseball5 French Open from 22-23 January 2022 in Montpellier.
France is one of two nations to have qualified for the first WBSC Baseball5 World Cup (along with Lithuania), from the inaugural Baseball5 European Championship.
The maiden edition of the Baseball5 French Open was played in January 2020 in Paris. A total of 124 participants representing 16 teams competed in the tournament, staged at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance, on the outskirts of Paris.
The Squales club are the defending champions, after winning the first edition of the Baseball5 French Open with an 8-3 win in the final against the Tigers de Thiais. Team Dorangonzu completed the podium.
