Bolivia ready for Junior Bolivarian Games Sucre 2024 Baseball5 competition

The Baseball5 competition at Sucre 2024 will take place at the Garcilazo Sports Complex Baseball5 diamond from April 4 to 6.

Baseball5's debut at the Junior Bolivarian Games Sucre 2024 is around the corner, and Bolivia is ready to host the event, both on the diamond and off. From 8 to 10 March, with the support of the Bolivian Olympic Committee (COBOL) together with the Bolivian Baseball and Softball Federation, the Bolivian National Baseball5 Team staged their last training camp before the Games' opening, as local officials were certified for the multi-sports event.

“We are here with two objectives: One, to prepare our National Team; and two to train and certify our officials,” said Mario Quinteros, Director of the Junior Bolivarian Games Organizing Committee.

The National team gathered at the Garcilazo Sports Complex in Sucre for their last training camp before their debut in the regional competition. “We have little time left, but we have been training for about five months, each player in their own districts, but we also held several camps with the entire team,” said the coach of the Bolivian team, Sergio Arancibia.

The national team is made up of Sofia Zagarra, Marialexis Rodriguez, Katrina Arancibia, Luciana Melgar, Jose Marin. Luis Felipe Panozo and Diego Chavez.

At the same time, the officials for the Baseball5 competition were officially certified and selected, with the presence of WBSC Continental Instructor Pablo Leone. A total of 16 participants participated in the Officials Course, with eight of them being selected to officiate at the Junior Bolivarian Games Sucre 2024.
