China, Germany and South Africa all scored victories in the U-15 world championship in Panama, posting 1-7 overall records. Tie-breaking rules placed China 10th, Germany 11th and South Africa 12th.

CHITRE, Panama – Ranked 19th in the world, Brazil went undefeated in the 7th-12th Place Consolation Round of the U-15 Baseball World Cup 2018, finishing the standings ahead of Top 10 nations Netherlands and Australia.

Brazil’s (5-3 overall) only losses in the global tournament were to Chinese Taipei, Panama and the United States, who are all playing in Sunday’s Finals. Brazil’s performance in Panama demonstrates the South American nation is beginning to emerge into a baseball force, while expanding baseball’s already solid footprint across the Americas.

World No. 9 Netherlands finished in 8th Place in Panama, while No. 8 Australia finished 9th.
