Brazil, Panama and Czech Republic win in the consolation round of the U-12 Baseball World Cup

TAINAN, Chinese Taipei-The consolation round will assign places from 7 to 12 in the U-12 Baseball World Cup. Brasil, Panama and Czech Republic got started with wins

The consolation round will assign the places from 7 to 12 in the U-12 Baseball World Cup.

Brasil beat (9-2) Germany (cover photo) after a game that was actually much closer than the final score would indicate.
Germany had cut Brasil 3-0 lead on 2 runs in the top of the fifth, but Brasil was able to come back scoring 6 in the bottom half of the frame.
Luca Tsuru earned the win for Brazil, going 4.1 innings and allowing only one run on 2 hits. Shortstop Correa had 2 RBIs.

Panama outscored (13-2, 5 innings) South Africa on 13 hits, including a home run by star designated hitter Adan Sanchez, to 2. Sanchez went 2 for 2, earned a walk and scored 3 runs. First baseman Barrett and center fielder Riffel batted in the runs South Africa scored.
Denis Samudio got the win going 4 innings and allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks.

Czech Republic defeated (11-5) Australia at the end of a close game and thanks to a 4 run rally in the fourth.
The line ups were equal as for hits (9). Shortstop Baker, designated hitter Roach andcenter fielder Bush had all 2 hits for Australia. Also czech shortstop Winkler (3 for 4), starting pitcher Hurta (2 for 2, 2 RBIs) and catcher Likavsky (2 for 2, 2 RBIs) had multi hit games.
Adam Vesely relieved Hurta in the second and earned the win allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and striking out 2.

Czech Republic celebrates the win over Australia

Czech Republic and Panama (3-0) lead now the consolation round, followed by Brasil (2-1), Australia (1-2), Germany and South Africa (0-3)
