British National Softball Championship to be played this weekend

A total of 16 teams will participate in two different divisions.

The British National Softball League (NSL) National Championships willl be played this weekend at Farnham Park, with the participation of eight teams in NSL1 and NSL2.

Due to Covid restrictions, NSL1 and NSL2 league play was restricted to two weekends this year rather than three and were played out over a single rather than a double round-robin, though with longer games.

The teams that have qualified for the NSL National Championships are:

NSL1

  • Pioneers
  • Chromies
  • H2O
  • Travelling Dodgers
  • KKs
  • Tigers
  • Blitz Bombers
  • Blue Steel

NSL2

  • LNZ
  • Spittin’ Camels
  • Tempest
  • Warriors
  • Naturals
  • The Mob
  • Honey Badgers
  • Fuzzy Ducks

The eight teams in both divisions will play a full round-robin on Saturday and Sunday morning, followed by a Page Playoff for the top four teams and single games to determine places 5-8.
