Bryan Madsen to manage USA U-12 Baseball National Team

Madsen was the third-base coach at the U-12 Baseball World Cup 2023. "I am deeply honoured and humbled. As a former United States Marine, the opportunity to represent our country means the world to myself and my family," Madsen commented. USA Baseball also announced that José Vázquez would manage the Collegiate National Team.

USA Baseball revealed that Bryan Madsen will manager the U-12 National Team at the WBSC Americas U-12 Baseball World Cup Qualifier. His staff will include Roger Wright, Wes Brooks and Josh Ellison.

Madsen served as the third base coach under manager Troy Gerlach at the 2023 U-12 Baseball World Cup, contributing to the fifth US World Title in this age bracket.

"I am deeply honoured and humbled," commented Madsen. "As a former United States Marine, the opportunity to represent our country means the world to my family and me, and it is not one I take lightly. I will lead this team with honour and integrity and live up to the high standards of the amazing coaches and players before me."

The Program Director, Cole Beeker, added: "Bryan has earned the opportunity to lead our team through his dedication to USA Baseball and its players. He is surrounded by three esteemed coaches: Josh, Roger, and Wes. We look forward to them representing the United States on the international stage and to the challenge of defending our gold medal."

USA Baseball also announced that José Vázquez, a three-time Southwestern Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, will manage the 2024 Collegiate National Team. The head coach at Alabama State University served as an assistant coach in 2023.
