Cañeros de Los Mochis win Mexican Pacific Baseball League Final Series in six

It's the fourth league title for Cañeros de Los Mochis. Juan Uriarte earned MVP honours.

Cañeros de Los Mochis defeated Algodoneros de Guasave in six games to claim the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) 2022-2023 title. It's their fourth league title, the first since the 2002-2003 season. They succeed Charros de Jalisco.

Nick Struck pitched seven masterful innings in Game Six, allowing only one hit and two walks to record his second win in the series. Fabian Cora took care of the final six outs. Los Mochis outhit Guasave, 10-2. First base Yasmany Tomas, the regular season MVP, hit a three-run double to break the score open. Second base Isaac Rodriguez, shortstop Roberto Valenzuela and left fielder Fernando Villegas had a two-hit game.

Juan Uriarte, a 25-year-old catcher who played at the Advance Single-A level for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB), earned MVP honours.
