China's U-15 Women’s National Softball Team in action for winter training camp

The inaugural WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup will be held in 2023.

The Chinese U-15 Women's National Softball Team is currently holding a winter training camp at Panzhihua Sports Middle School in Sichuan, China. The camp, which opened in early December, will run until 10 February. The purpose of the training camp is to strengthen physical fitness and sharpen skills. The 30 best U-15 athletes of the country were selected to participate in the camp.

Closed training sessions are being implemented throughout the training camp as part of the pandemic prevention and disinfection measures.

China is the seventh ranked nation in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Ranking and the third in the Asian continent, behind world No. 2 Japan and No. 6 Chinese Taipei. China finished in eighth place at the last WBSC U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup, held in Irvine, California, USA, in August 2019.  

The inaugural WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup will be held in 2023.
