Chinese Taipei connected for 15 hits and produced 11 runs to defeat the Netherlands.

Chinese Taipei swept their doubleheader today with an 11-5 victory over the Netherlands to remain unbeaten in the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup. The Asian squad got 15 hits in the game. Both teams used three pitchers in the game. 

Chinese Taipei got the lead in the game with a three-run third inning. And even when the Netherlands came close to tie the game in a pair of ocasions, Chinese Taipei answered with some insurance runs.

Ching-Yu Chen was the starting pitcher for Chinese Taipei and winner of the game. She tossed 5.1 innings while giving up five hits, three runs and two walks, with one strikeout.

Chinese Taipei leads the standings after two days with a 3-0 record.
