The Women’s National Baseball Teams of Chinese Taipei and Venezuela will meet in the bronze medal final on Sunday (11 Sept) at 12:00 local time.

GIJANG, Korea – The Women’s National Baseball Teams of Chinese Taipei and Venezuela will meet in the bronze medal final on Sunday (11 Sept) at 12:00 local time.

The two nations finished the Super Round in 3rd and 4th Place to have the honour of playing on Sunday.  In their earlier match during the Super Round, Venezuela defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 this past Thursday (9 Sept).

Road to Bronze

Venezuela defeated Australia 7-4 Saturday night behind the pitching performance of Orianny Hernandez to secure 3rd Place in the Super Round.

Chinese Taipei had entered the final day of the Super Round with the hopes of advancing to the World Championship game, but fell to Canada 2-1.

Both Chinese Taipei Venezuela will be advancing to the women’s pinnacle event for the first time in history.
