Colin Anderson's grand slam, 7 RBIs lift US over Korea
The left fielder hits a grand slam and a three-run homer and contributed with seven RBIs in the 8-5 win.
Slugging USA defeated Korea, 8-5, to finish group play as the only unbeaten National Team in the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.
Colin Anderson hit a grand slam in the first inning and added a three-run homer in the second. He batted in seven, providing all the runs production the US needed.
Korea had scored first and managed to come back on starter Anthony Frausto, but Anderson's second homer set the final tone of the game.
Major Ciers earned the win, pitching 2.2 innings in relief. Hibiki Suzuki and Trent O'Malley worked the final three outs. O'Malley earned the save.
The United States (4-0) will head to the super round with a 2-0 record and as group B's number one seed. Korea (2-2) will have to wait for the result of tomorrow's game between the Dominican Republic (2-1) and Japan (1-2).
