In the best-of-seven final series, the Criollos de Caguas defeated the Indios de Mayaguez, four games to one. The Criollos repeat as Puerto Rican Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (LBPRC) champions, earning their 20th league title.
Center fielder Johneshwy Fargas, who appeared in 52 Major League Baseball (MLB) games for the Chicago Cubs and New York Mets in 2021, batted in game five winning run in the eighth off reliever Fernando Cruz and earned MVP honours.
Veteran starter Yordy Cabrera pitched six solid innings for the Criollos. Alexis Diaz followed with two innings for the win, and 43-year old Ricardo Gomez picked up the save.
