Cuba to host Jamaica for Baseball5 exhibition games

It will be a chance to watch the defending world champions, including World Cup MVP Briandy Molina (pictured above) take the field.

World No. 1 Cuba will host Jamaica from 27 to 29 June at the Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva (Sports City Coliseum) in Havana for Baseball5 exhibition games involving the two national teams and the youth national teams.

It will be a chance to see the defending Baseball5 world champions take the field and an opportunity for the youth teams to warm up for the WBSC Americas Youth Baseball5 World Cup Qualifier.

Cuba hosted Jamaica for a Baseball5 exhibition in 2018 during the early days of the five-on-five version of baseball/softball. Future world champions Orlando Amador, Cristian Basabe and Briandy Molina, who won the inaugural Baseball5 World Cup MVP, all participated in the event and will return for the exhibition games. Coach Uel Gordon and players Anif Gordon and Malik McLean will return from the Jamaican team.
