UTRECHT, Netherlands — 25 July — The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today announced the Super Round schedule for the WBSC Softball Europe/Africa Qualifier in Utrecht, Netherlands. The field has been cut in half, with four nations remaining in the hunt for one historic ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
World No. 12 Great Britain and No. 10 Netherlands claimed Group A’s two available places in the Super Round. Great Britain went undefeated (3-0) to win the group, while the host nation (2-1) ended at second place.
In Group B, No. 9 Italy and No. 15 Czech Republic have advanced to the Super Round. Italy won the group with perfect record (3-0) while Czech Republic (2-1) placed second.
No. 26 France, No. 28 South Africa, No. 35 Spain and No. 43 Botswana have been eliminated in the Olympic qualifier.

Friday, 26 July
- Czech Republic vs Great Britain at 4 pm
- Netherlands vs Italy at 7 pm
Saturday, 27 July (game times TBD)
- Netherlands vs Czech Republic
- Great Britain vs Italy
The top nation in the final standings after the Super Round will earn a berth at the historic softball’s return to the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Only results between the four qualified nations (including matches in the Opening Round) count toward the final Super Round standings.

Global Live-Stream
All four games of the Super Round will be available to global audiences via the WBSC OTT platform, Game Time. The games will also be streamed through the Olympic Channel and La Liga Sports.
Czech public television station, Czech TV will air live Czech Republic’s two Super Round games, while the satellite platform Sky Italia will do the same with the Italian National Team matches.
