The Czech Softball Extraleague finished last week both in the men’s and women’s categories. Joudrs Prague became the Women's Extraleague Champion for the second year in a row; and Žraloci Ledenice won the men’s Czech National Champion Title, the second one in their history after 2019.
In the best-of-five final series of the women’s Extraleague, Joudrs faced the newly-promoted Arrows Ostrava and won the Czech National title in three games, with scores of 7-1, 6-4 and 10-2. US-born pitcher Taylor Ann Edwards led the team, pitching in every game of the playoffs, obtaining 5 wins.
In the men's final series, Žraloci Ledenice defeated the Beavers Chomutov in a best-of-three series, coming from behind in the series after losing 5-0 the first game with a pair of shutouts: 7-0 and 4-0 in the winner-takes-all game. Locos Břeclav placed third, defeating the Painbusters Most.
