Czech Softball men's and women's national leagues will open this week, with the men’s competition starting on Saturday 13th April and the women's league on Tuesday 16th. In the regular season, each team will play four games against every other team with the top six teams advancing to the playoffs, scheduled to commence on September 21.
The Men's Extraliga 2024 starts on Saturday with eight teams participating: the Beavers Chomutov, Hippos Havlíčkův Brod, Joudrs Prague, Painbusters Most, Spectrum Prague, Tempo Prague, Zraloci Ledenice and the reigning champions the Locos Břeclav. A few players from Argentina will join the Hippos and Tempo this year. In the regular season, the teams will play four games against each other, and the playoffs for the top six teams will begin on September 21.

The Women's Extraliga 2024 starts on 16 April with seven teams participating: the Arrows Ostrava, Eagles Prague, Kotlářka Prague, SaBaT Prague, Tempo Prague, Zraloci Ledenice, and the reigning champions, Joudrs Prague. In the regular season, the teams will also play four games against each other, and the playoffs for the top six teams will begin on 24 September. Each team will also play an additional doubleheader against the U-18 national team, which is preparing for the WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup Group A in Brazil this year.
