Daniel Dobes went the distance, allowing four hits, and Robin Mika went 3-for-4. South Africa went scoreless throughout the tournament but wasn't outscored by the run difference rule for the first time in the event.

Czechia defeated South Africa, 6-0, to earn their second win in the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup and a ninth-place finish.

Starter Daniel Dobes went the distance, allowing four hits and striking out six.

Shortstop Jamie Moran was the only South African player to get two hits. He advanced Joshua Caleb to second in the top of the second. It would be the only runner in scoring position for South Africa.

Czechia scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the second on an error and broke the score open in the bottom of the fourth on three hits, including a double by Roin Mika. The left fielder went 3-for-4.

While South Africa went scoreless throughout the tournament, the good-spirited team managed to remain in the game through the sixth and avoid the run difference rule for the first time -- a positive sign that players from the Africa continue to develop and are able to compete with the best from other continents like Europe.
