The Danish Softball Federation is targeting the 2021 European U-18 Championship, a qualifier for the 2022 WBSC U-18 Softball World Cup.

The Danish Softball Federation will begin holding tryouts to identify the top young players in the country ahead of the 2021 European championship, slated for 12-17 July in Havlickuv Brod, Czech Republic. The continental event is a qualifier for the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup 2022.

The first National Team tryout will be on Saturday 31 October, while the second one will be on Saturday, 14 November. Both training sessions will take place at Grønnemose School at Søborg, just outside Copenhagen.

Nine Danish players who played in the 2020 Men's U-18 Softball World Cup will still be able to compete on the national team next year.

Denmark played in their first-ever Junior Men’s Softball World Championship (U-19) in 2008 and have since competed in the last six editions of this event. Denmark’s best finish in this youth category has been eighth place (2012).

Denmark is currently ranked 11th in the WBSC Men's Softball World Rankings.
