A new baseball stadium is coming to the Dominican Republic.
The Lifestyle Hotel Chain will donate the land to build a baseball stadium in Puerto Plata. North Baseball will support the construction of the new venue.
The Dominican Baseball Federation (FEDOBE) aims to host international events in the new stadium.
FEDOBE is working with the Lifestyle Hotel Chain and the North Coast Baseball Company to support young baseball players and realize the new facility.
FEDOBE President Juan Núñez and his vice president José Cano committed to holding showcases for the best players between the ages of 10 and 21 to get exposure and potentially earn university scholarships.
The North Baseball Company, chaired by Ernest Frey, committed to bringing scouts from the primary schools in the United States to attend the showcases.
