Dominican Republic wins U-12 Pan American Championship, qualifies for U-12 Baseball World Cup with Mexico, Venezuela and Panama

The Dominicans earned their first title in this age bracket in 32 years. They defeated host Mexico, 8-2, in Aguascalientes.

The Dominican Republic defeated host Mexico, 8-2, in the final of the U-12 Pan American Baseball (COPABE) Championship. It's the Dominican Republic National Baseball Team programme's first U-12 continental gold medal in 32 years.

The Dominican Republic earned their first-ever participation in the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup, to be played in 2022 in Tainan, Taiwan.

Venezuela defeated Panama, 10-6, in the third place game.

Puerto Rico beat Colombia, 9-7, and finished fifth.

Mexico, Venezuela and Panama also qualified for the next U-12 Baseball World Cup.

Nine out of 12 National Teams participating in the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup are now qualified:

Asia (3) Chinese Taipei, Korea, Japan
Americas (4) Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, Panama
