REGENSBURG, Germany-The program is set for the semi finals of the European baseball Champions Cup for Clubs

REGENSBURG, Germany-The third day of comeptition in the European baseball Champions Cup for clubs resulted in the wins by Fortitudo Bologna, Neptunus Rotterdam and T&A San Marino, that joined L&D Amsterdam in the semifinals. The one game play offs will be played on Saturday June 10 according to this program (all times CET):

Fortitudo Bologna beat (22-2 in 7) Mainz Athletics and advanced to Saturday’s semi final. They will face Amsterdam L&D.
The champions of Italy wasted no time in getting ro starter Yannic Wildenhain, who hit center fielder Nosti, walked third baseman Fuzzi and gave up a 2 run double to first baseman Sambucci. Wildenhain left with 2 outs in the third, after giving up 10 runs, 9 earned. Mainz defense was of no help to the staff, committing 9 errors.
Former minorleaguer Andrea Pizziconi went 6 innings with no major problem to face. Clement pitcher the seventh for Bologna.

Neptunus Rotterdam came back after Thursday’s upset to beat (9-3) Rouen Huslies and finish first in group A. In Saturday’s semi final they will face the winner of the matchup between Rimini and San Marino.
Neptunus erased initial Rouen lead in the second on a solo homer by catcher Boekhoudt off starter Owen Ozanich and got ahead in the fifth, when left fielder Daniel Fernandes hit a double and scored on center fielder Daantji base hit. Ozanich was forced to leave after he surrendered 2 more runs in the sixth.
Rotterdam starter Kevin Kelly went to the showers after allowing his third run in the eigth. Misja Harcksen came out of the bullpen to strike out french rightfielder Leonel Cespedes and end the threat represented by the tying runs on first and second.
In the bottom half of the frame Daniel Fernandes frustrated any goal of a late come back by Rouen hitting a 2 run homer off reliever Esteban Prioul.

T&A San Marino earned the right to the fourth semi final berth defeating (6-3) the Rimini Pirates in an Italian Baseball League Classic played on a european stage. San Marino scored 3 in the tenth inning tie breaker, after Rimini was one step short a walk off win in the ninth. With shortstop Infante standing at second, designated hitter Caseres hit a blooper to left that beat left fielder Elimine diving attempt. But center fielder Poma was quick to cover and his throw got the out at home. The collision between Infante and San Marino catcher Morreale was the spark to a bench clearing brawl. Infante ended up being the only player ejected.
Ascanio pitched the last 3 innings for Rimini, escaped a loss and got the win. He was the third pitcher used by manager Marco Nanni, after struggling starter Camacho and solid reliever Oberto.
A couple of base hits (by Ermini and shortstop Epifano) and a wild pitch by Rimini reliever Teran were keys to San Marino tenth inning 3 run rally.
