European men's junior softball championships open in Czech Republic

The U-16 and U-18 Men’s European Softball Championships started on Monday in Havlickuv Brod.

The U-18 and U-16 European Men’s Softball Championships have opened in Havlickuv Brod, Czech Republic, and will run through 17 July.

Four nations are taking part in the U-18 European Championship, with world No. 6 Czech Republic, No. 10 Denmark, No. 22 Croatia and No. 23 Israel playing a double round-robin. The top two teams will advance to the final on 17 July.

In the U-16 championship, the Czech Republic, Denmark and Israel are engaged in a triple-round-robin. The two top finishers after the round-robin will play for the European title on 17 July.

The Czech National Teams are the defending European champions in both categories, after winning the 2017 editions.
