European Women’s Softball: Forlì wins in Italy, Mannheim champions of Germany

Italy and Germany crowned their softball champions for the 2017 season. In Italy Forlì claimed their fourth title defeating Bollate in the final. In Germany Tornados Mannheim are the winners against Wesseling Vermins

Europe crowned 2 more National Champions in Women’s softball.

Forlì (cover pitcture by K73 Oldman/FIBS) claimed their fourth Italian Softball League title defeating Bollate 3 games to 1 in the final series. Pitcher Ilaria Cacciamani deserved MVP honors as she earned 2 wins.
Forlì shut out Bollate in all of their 3 wins (1-0 game 1, 4-0 game 2, 9-0 game 4). Also Bollate only win (7-0 game 2) came on a shut out.

Mannheim Tornadoes celebrated their twelfth Germany Bundesliga title as they defeated (3 games to 1) Wesseling Vermins. Mannheim lost (4-0) game one and then swept (6-2, 3-2. 3-0) Wesseling to clinch the Pennant. Tornadoes pitcher Hanna Dewey earned MVP honors.
