Female pitcher helps her team win U-10 Chinese Baseball Championship, named MVP

Shuren went undefeated after five day, 63-game national tournament, thanks to female fireballer Shili Ayu. Baseball in China was showcased via the national youth championship.

Shuren went undefeated to win the U-10 Chinese National Baseball Championship. They beat Kylin in the final in Pinghu, 7-2.

But the bigger story was that Shuren's female pitcher Shili Ayu earned MVP honours. Kylin's Zija Hong earned the 'best hitter' and the 'most home runs' awards.

Bonkid beat Little Dragonman in the third-place game, 3-2.

The U-10 Chinese National Baseball Championship was deferred for two consecutive seasons due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The 2022 edition featured 15 teams and 260 players. The competition included 63 games over five days.

China is currently 21st in the WBSC Baseball World Rankings.
