Fernando Atannon re-elected as Benin Baseball Softball Federation president

The Bureau of the Benin Baseball Softball Federation was also re-elected for the 2022-2026 term.

Fernando Atannon has been re-elected as president of the Benin Baseball Softball Federation following an Elective General Assembly held on September 7 at the headquarters of the Beninese National Olympic Sports Committee.

The first vice-president Romuald Houegbeme, second Vice President Marie Camille Adjagba Hessou, secretary general Mohammed Moubarakou Chitou, deputy secretary general Carlos Lawson and general treasurer Vincent Keke were also re-elected as part of the Benin Baseball Softball Federation New Buearu.

The Benin Baseball Softball Federation has been active in growing baseball and softball, particularly using Baseball5 as a key development tool.

The WBSC, in collaboration with the Africa Baseball Softball Association (ABSA), held a webinar for 43 Baseball5 coaches and officials dedicated to the members of the Benin Baseball and Softball Federation last year.

The Benin Baseball5 National Championships were completed in February this year with seven teams participated in the adult category and six in the junior category.

The WBSC also organized a series of technical courses in 2019 for 28 Benin Baseball and Softball Federation baseball, softball and Baseball5 coaches with the help of Olympic Solidarity through the Benin National Olympic and Sports Committee.

The composition of the New Bureau of the Benin Baseball Softball Federation for the 2022-2026 term is:
