First round of Women's Baseball Asia Cup to open on 21 May

Six teams will compete for two spots in the championship round, a WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Qualifier set to start on 26 May.

The Women's Baseball Asia Cup is set to open in Hong Kong China on Sunday, 21 May.

Six teams will split into two groups and participate in the first stage, where the winner of each group will advance to the main tournament, a qualifier for the IX WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup.

Group A includes World No. 18 India, Malaysia and Thailand, while Group B comprises No. 19 Pakistan, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Hong Kong-China will also play in Group B but has already earned a spot in the second stage.

India will open against Thailand at 10:00 local time. The game of Indonesia and Sri Lanka will start at 13:30, and Hong Kong-China will close the day against Pakistan at 17:00.

FULL SCHEDULE

Group A's winner will join World No. 2 Chinese Taipei, No. 15 China, and No. 11 Hong Kong-China in the second round's Group A.

Group B's winner will play No. 1 Japan, No. 10 Korea and No. 14 Philippines in the other group.

The championship round is scheduled to start on Friday, 26 May.
