Korea will participate in the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) Qualifier for the IV WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup, scheduled from 21 May to 2 June in Hong Kong.

Keun-Woo Jeong, a former Korean series winner and a Gold Glove second baseman in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) league, accepted a role as a coach on the Korean women's baseball national team. Jeong helped Korea win gold at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, the inaugural WBSC Premier12 and the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2000.

Jeong starred in the Seoul Home Run Derby X event in September.

"Manager Sang-moon Yang called me, and I accepted right away," commented Jeong. "I wanted to work with him. It's an honour to wear a National Team uniform again."

Yang, 61, is a former KBO pitcher and manager.

Dong-Hyeon Lee, Yong-Un Jeong, Geun-Woo Jeong and Soon-jin Bang will also serve on the coaching staff.

Korea will participate in the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) Qualifier for the IX WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup, scheduled from 21 May to 2 June in Hong Kong. The top four finishers will advance to the Group Stage of the World Cup, scheduled for the middle of 2023.

They finished in 10th place the VIII Women's Baseball World Cup in 2018.
