Four-nation women’s int'l softball tournament set to begin in Valencia, Spain

World No. 4 Mexico, No. 13 Czech Republic, No. 19 Spain and No. 23 Germany will play a double round-robin starting today.

A women’s international softball tournament will open today at the municipal baseball and softball field in Valencia, Spain, with national teams from four countries set to compete. World No. 4 Mexico, No. 13 Czech Republic, No. 19 Spain and No. 23 Germany will play a double round-robin, with the top two teams in the final standings meeting in the final of the WBSC-sanctioned event on 20 November.

Opening Day of the tournament features two games. Host Spain will take on Mexico at 5 p.m. local time, followed by Germany and Czech Republic at 7:30 p.m. 

The round-robin will conclude early on 20 November, Day 4 of the competition, and be followed with the final at 2:30 p.m. See the complete schedule here.

The Czech Republic played this past weekend the 7è Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona, defeating Catalunya, 11-7.
