Lithuania win Baseball5 European Championship, qualify with runner up France for WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024

World No. 10 Lithuania defeated No. 2 France (2-0) in the final of the Baseball5 European Championship in Druskininkai, Lithuania on Saturday. Both teams booked a ticket to the II WBSC Baseball5 World Cup. which will take place in Hong Kong, China next year.

Spain beat world No. 19 the Netherlands (2-1) in the bronze medal game.

France and Lithuania dominated the second European Championship finishing the Opening Round undefeated (6-0) on top of Group A and B respectively.

France defeated Lithuania (2-1) in the first Super Round match and went on to beat Belgium and Italy (both 2-0). Lithuania also won 2-0 in the following games against Netherlands and Spain.

The Central Harbourfront Event Space in Hong Kong will host the 12-team II WBSC Baseball5 World Cup in late 2024.
