GameTime Classics | Episode 27: USA take on Chinese Taipei in must-win WBSC Premier12 2019 clash
USA and Chinese Taipei took the field at the Tokyo Dome on 15 November 2019. You can relive the exciting game in the daily series that the WBSC is offering for free on YouTube and Facebook.
The USA needed a win on 15 November 2019 to support their case at the WBSC Premier12 2019. Their long-shot was a spot in the championship game, but their main goal was to finish ahead of Mexico in order to earn a ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Manager Scott Brosius handed the ball to Parker Dunshee and home plate umpire Makita Kyohei, Japan, called playball at the Tokyo Dome.
Chinese Taipei countered with Wu Sheng Feng on the mound. The fourth-ranked team in the world didn't have a real chance to advance to the medal round, but they were not going to let the Americans have it all their own way.
