GameTime Classics | Episode 52: Australia, USA thrill at WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship
Australia’s Harrison Peters started for the second time in the tournament, while Joel Cooley took the ball for the Americans.
The Men's Australian and U.S. National Softball Teams were knocked out of medal contention but met for a second time -- in the fifth-place game -- at the WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship 2019 in the Czech Republic. The Aussies won the first encounter, 1-0.
Heading into the game, USA was defeated by Argentina, 9-0, in five innings; while Australia lost to their arch-rivals New Zealand by a score of 7-4.
