Ghana, MLB's LA Dodgers sign development agreement

Ghana federation president Ernest Danso and the Dodgers Director for Africa Operations Joe Arrington signed the deal in Accra.

The Ghana Baseball and Softball Federation (GBSF) has announced a partnership agreement with the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). The partnership, Creating Partnerships for the Good of the people, aims to give the Ghanaian youth the best opportunities in baseball, softball and education.

GBSF President Ernest Danso and the Africa Operations Director for the Dodgers Joe Harrington, signed the deal in the nation's capital, Accra. Kenneth Annang, the public relations officer with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, participated in the ceremony.

"Our mission is to inspire the [youth of this] continent on the field, in the classroom and most importantly as human beings," said Harrington to the local press.

Ghana is currently No. 71 in the WBSC Baseball World Rankings.
