Georgina Corrick, Jocelyn Alo and Baylee Klingler are the finalists for the most prestigious individual honour in NCAA Division I college softball. All three have played or will play with their respective national team in international competitions.

The reigning USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, Alo, broke the NCAA Division I softball home run record in March of the 2022 season to become the all-time career home run leader with 113 homers heading into the postseason. She will wear the USA Softball National Team jersey this summer during the Canada Cup and the Japan All-Star Series.

Corrick has represented Great Britain in the WBSC Junior Women’s Softball World Championship (2015), the Women’s Softball World Championship (2018) and the Europe Africa Olympic Qualifier (2019). She finished the 2022 NCAA Division I regular season atop the leaderboard in innings pitched (266.1), wins (36), shutouts (20) and strikeouts (407) while tallying an impressive 0.53 ERA.

Klingler was the starting third base in USA’s gold-medal winning junior team at the 2017 World Championship played in Clearwater, Florida, USA. She ranked in the top-five in home runs (22) and RBI (65) in addition to recording a notable .433 batting average throughout the regular season.

The 2022 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year will be announced on May 31 at the team-only banquet prior to the NCAA Women’s College World Series (WCWS) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
