Hangzhou 2022 launches Asian Games pictograms to celebrate 2-years-to-go mark

Baseball and softball will be among the sports featured at the 2022 Asian Games.

The organising committee of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 (HAGOC) releasd the sports pictograms of the Games during a ceremony held in the Great Hall of the People of Zhejiang Province, marking the two-year countdown on Tuesday, September 22.

The sports icons feature 59 disciplines in 40 sports and were designed over the backdrop of the "surging tide" theme of the official Asian Games emblem.

The pictograms are set to appear at competitions, as well as on venue signs, promotional material, broadcasts of the event and souvenirs.

Baseball and softball competitions will be held at China's new under-construction baseball-softball megacentre in Shaoxing city, located southeast of Hangzhou.

The campaign for a volunteer slogan will run online and offline for five weeks and will promote the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress" throughout society.

The 19th Asian Games will run from September 10-25, 2022 in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province in eastern China.
