International softball: Canada Cup set to return in 2022

The Canada Cup will be played two weeks before The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, USA - the top women’s softball competition of the year.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Canadian women’s international softball tournament - the Canada Cup - will return this summer. The tournament is scheduled for 17-26 June at the Softball City venue in Surrey, Canada.

The Canada Cup will feature multiple divisions: Women’s international, Futures (U-19) and Showcase (U-16) – and is expected to draw more than 1,500 athletes.

“The response to the return of the Canada Cup has been beyond what we could have expected,” says Canada Cup Chair Greg Timm. “Without a doubt we will see the very best of the best at the 2022 event. From the top national teams to the elite club teams, we anticipate an incredibly strong tournament across all divisions."

The Canada Cup will be played two weeks before The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, USA -- the top women’s softball competition of the year.

Softball City is world-famous venue, having hosted the 2016 WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship and the WBSC Softball Americas Olympic Qualifier in 2019.
