The president of the National Olympic Committee of Iran, Reza Salehi Amiri, guaranteed support to the development of baseball and softball in the country, during a recent meeting with Houman Mansourian, the president of the Iran Baseball and Softball Association (IBSA).
Mansourian shared his plans to develop the game. He spoke about the planned online training classes and expressed his optimism about the contribution that Baseball5, the new five-on-five street version of baseball/softball, can give to development.
Reza Salehi Amiri was also impressed by the possibility that the recently renewed stadium in Karaj may host the West Asia Baseball Cup in the near future. He guaranteed the support of the Olympic Committee for the preparation of the National Team.
