Israel Olympic Baseball Team to warm up in US ahead of Tokyo Games

The European representatives will be the guests of the New York Boulders of the Frontier League.

Israel will get ready for this summer's Olympic baseball tournament in Rockland County, New York. They will practice at Palisades Credit Union Park, the home of the New York Boulders of the independent Frontier League, before engaging in a series of warm-up games for the Tokyo Olympics.

The first preparation game will be against the Boulders on 12 July.

Additional exhibition games in the US will be scheduled in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Maryland.

The Israeli National Baseball Team will be making their first Olympic appearance, having earned their spot by winning the WBSC Europe/Africa Qualifier in September 2019.

Israel's baseball team became the country's first national team to earn an Olympic qualification since 1976, when Israel qualified in soccer.

Host Japan, Korea and Mexico are the other qualified teams. The final two participants will come out of the WBSC Baseball Americas Qualifier and the Final Qualifier, both scheduled in June.
