Italian Baseball Softball Convention going international

The event will run from 16 to 20 March and different seminars will be available online. Mike Piazza and Joe Maddon are amongst the speakers.

The Italian Baseball and Softball Convention (CON6), scheduled from 16 to 20 March, will offer online sessions available through FIBS' (Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball) YouTube Channel. This will make this edition a truly international event.

Mike Piazza, the Italian National Baseball Team manager and Baseball Hall of Famer, will be the main attraction amongst the speakers.

Los Angeles Angels manager Joe Maddon and MLB Network's Jon Morosi, will appear courtesy of the Italian American Baseball Foundation.

Other speakers include Eugene Bleecker of the 108 Performance Academy, Susie Parra and Deb Hartwig of Just Softball, Softball Hall of Famer and UC Riverside coach Cindy Bristow, WBSC umpire Lisa Turbit, the German Umpiring Committee Chair Christian Posny, international softball umpire Nacho Pardo, who was recently named the Secretary-General of the Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation, and scorers Dennis Duin from the Netherlands and Gil Reyes from Venezuela.
