Italian club Leonessa Brescia showcases Blind Baseball during international basketball game

Italian Blind Baseball League players and coaches demonstrated the game in front of an audience of 2,000.

Leonessa Brescia, one of the clubs participating in the Blind Baseball Italian League (LIBCI), partnered with Basket Brescia to give blind baseball international visibility.

President Sarwar Ghulam and vice president Barbara Menoni organized a blind baseball showcase during an interval of the basketball Eurocup game between Brescia and the German team Ulm. Coaches Lorenzo De Regny, Fabio Giurleo and Gianluca Giovinetti.

The 2,000 spectators of the basketball game quietly followed the showcase (as per the rules of Blind Baseball so the defence can hear the ball and the runners can hear the clappers when arriving on base) and congratulated the Leonessa players with an enthusiastic farewell applause.

"Despite time and space limitations, I think the showcase went very well," commented De Regny.
