Italy to host Venezuela for International softball friendlies

Caronno Pertusella was one of the venues of the European Pro Softball Series earlier this year. The ‘azzurre’ are playing their last 2 games in preparation to the WBSC Softball World Championship, set to start in Chiba (Japan) on Thursday, 2 August

Italy will host Venezuela in Caronno Pertusella, west of Milan, for 2 international women’s softball friendlies scheduled on Friday 1 (7 pm CEST) and Saturday 2 June (3 pm CEST).

The games are included in the Torneo della Repubblica and will award the Aldo Majer Cup, in memory of the Caronno Softball Club founder.

The 2 games, sanctioned by WBSC, are the last stop for Italy on the way to the WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship. In Chiba (Japan; 2-12 August) he azzurre will compete in group B together with Venezuela, Japan, Canada, Australia, China, Great Britain and Botswana.
