Japan no-hits Czechia, earns first win

A home run by Rui Takeda put Samurai Japan started a nine-run second inning. Three Japanese pitchers left Czechia hitless.

Three Japanese pitchers, Rio Ishikawa, Atsuki Uchida (the winner) and Haruki Narita, no-hit Czechia and helped their National Team to their first win in the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.

Left fielder Rui Takeda homered in the bottom of the second off Martin Fajmon to give Japan a 2-0 lead.

The second inning resulted in a nine-run rally and the game came to a quick end after four.

Japan bats combined for 17 hits.

Japan's record moves to 1-2, while Czechia drops to 0-3 in the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan.
