JD.League 2023 regular season schedule announced

The season will start on Saturday 15 April in four different venues: Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture; Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture; Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture; and Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

JD.League, the Japanese professional softball league, announced the regular season schedule for its 2023 campaign. A total of 16 teams, split into two divisions (East and West), will play 232 games including 64 inter-league games.

The season will start on Saturday 15 April in four different venues: Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture; Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture; Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture; and Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. 

In addition, the inter-league series will start on Saturday 27 May in Gifu City and Ogaki City in Gifu Prefecture, and will gather all 16 teams for the first time.

The JD.League 2023 schedule features 232 games including 168 games in the East and West Divisions, and 64 inter-league games. Each team will play 29 regular season games with the teams with the highest winning percentage deciding the top seeds for the playoffs in each division. 

After the playoffs, from which the division winners are determined, the JD.League 2023 champion will be crowned in the Diamond Series at the end of the year.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 15 March.

Bic Camera Takasaki are the three-time defending champions. Last season, Bic Camera defeated Toyota Shining Vega, 2-1, in the Diamond Series.
