The right hander struck out 12 opponents, after a 14-K performance the night before.

Czech Republic claimed today their second win of the U-18 Softball World Cup, behind another double-digit strikeout game by Katerina Kindermannova. The Czech squad topped the Netherlands, 2-1, an earned their second consecutive win in the event.

Kindermannova was impressive, striking out 12 in a complete-game effort. She surrendered five hits, three walks and one run to claim her second win.

Her Dutch counterpart pitched a great game, but didn’t receive significant support from her offense. Esmee Ames pitched seven innings and allowed five hits, two runs (only one earned) and two walks, while striking out three.

With runners on third and second with two outs, Marina Burkovicova socred on a wild pitch, and Magdalena Kavanova took advantage of a throwing error in the same play to put the game 2-0.

In the bottom of the fourth, Sanne Van der Putten singled-in Reganied Franka to make it a one-run ballgame. But after that, Kindermannova was dominant, allowing only one more hit.

Czeh Republic remains in medal contention with a 2-1 record, while the Netherlands is still winless in the tournament.
