Kirovohrad, in central Ukraine, hosted the second edition of the tournament.

Ukraine celebrated the second National Baseball5 Championship with Pokemons Kropivnytskyi winning the adults' final series against Winter's Soldiers Kropivnytskyi, 2-1. ATMA Kyiv placed third.

In the U-15 age bracket City Devils Kropivnytskyi beat ATMA Kyiv 2-1. Falcons Kropivnytskyi finished third.

The winning teams were managed by Sergyi Limarenko.

The tournament took place in Kropyvnytskyi, the administrative centre of Kirovohrad Oblast in Central Ukraine, at the indoor gym of the Regional Sports School Olympic Reserve, directed by Vitalyi Vinokurov.

Nine teams participated, five in the adult's category and four in the U-15 age bracket.

"The first edition had 13 participating teams," commented Ukrainian Baseball and Softball Federation Board Member Oleg Boyko. "Some teams had to give up at the last moment. Unfortunately, travelling is not easy in Ukraine."

The WBSC stands in solidarity with Ukraine and the entire international sports movement in its call to end the violence and restore peace.

The WBSC, WBSC Europe and European WBSC members granted financial and logistic support to the Ukraine National Baseball and Softball Teams during the 2022 season.

The WBSC staged its first Baseball5 World Cup last year. This year the WBSC Baseball5 Youth World Cup will take place.
