Logo, groups announced for U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup Americas qualifier

The inaugural edition of the Pan American Championship will be played from 1 to 8 April in Lima, Peru.

WBSC Americas Softball unveiled the new logo and the groups for the inaugural edition of the U-15 Pan American Championship, a qualifier for the WBSC U-15 Softball World Cup to be staged in Tokyo, Japan, from 21 to 29 October. 

The Pan American Championship will be played from 1 to 8 April in Lima, Peru. A total of 10 teams will take part of the competition, starting the tournament in two groups of five:

  • Group A: No. 1 USA, No. 18 Brazil, No. 19 Peru (host), Team WBSC*, No. 41 Colombia
  • Group B: No. 5 Puerto Rico, No. 6 Mexico, No. 22 Venezuela, No. 33 Argentina, No. 60 Ecuador  

After the round robin, the top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Round (6 and 7 April) with the Finals on 8 April. The tournament schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

The top four teams from the continental event will earn a ticket for the first edition of the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup.

* Since the National Olympic Committee of Guatemala has been suspended by the International Olympic Committee, the Guatemalan athletes cannot represent their country or compete under its flag and name at international sports events. In respect of the athletes’ rights to participate in the World Cup, they will compete at the WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup under the WBSC flag.
